covering letter outlining the necessary requirements and procedure for

School, Academy, Institute, Association or other establishment and
accepted by the New Zealand Charter Self Governing Council of the NATURAL THERAPIES BOARD, NATURAL MEDICINES BOARD, TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE BOARD and TRADITIONAL MAORI MEDICINE BOARD
Eligibility and Acceptance
The Member’s documentation will be scrutinised for authenticity and
accuracy by the Qualifications Committee before a decision is made,
based upon the information supplied as to the Member’s educational
qualification for chartering. If the Qualifications Committee believes
that the data supplied meets the criteria and indicates that the Member
has had adequate training to qualify for chartering and comes within
the designated framework of the minimum educational standards set out
for the modality, they will support the application to be put forward
for consideration to the New Zealand Charter. If, however, the
information submitted falls below the minimum standards then the
application will be declined, but to avoid any undue disadvantage, the
Member will be notified with a letter of recommendation to further
extend their training to certificate/diploma status level with a New
Zealand Charter approved training establishment, to upgrade their
qualifications to the current New Zealand Charter standards. They may
then wish to re-apply at a later date.
